Michael Carrick believes Manchester United can still hold on to their league title.

The Reds are level with neighbours City heading into the last game of the season, when they travel to Sunderland and the Blues host Queens Park Rangers.

City are well in the driving seat with a superior goal difference of eight, but Carrick believes there could yet be one major twist in a fascinating title battle.

“Who knows? Football is a funny game. Stranger things have happened in the past,” he told Sky Sports. "We have to concentrate on ourselves. We still have a chance.”
