Paul Jewell believes he will be backed by his Ipswich Town board this summer.

The Tractor Boys manager is looking to add to his squad when the window reopens, although it is unclear just how much cash he will have to spend.

Jewell admits he will mostly be shopping in the bargain basement, but if he identifies a player who would cost a little more, he is sure his board would back him.

"There definitely won't be any £3million signings,” he said. "If I went to the chairman and said a player of that price would make the difference, I am sure he would back me.”
