Southampton Football Club are lining up an offer for Simon Cox.

Nigel Adkins has led the Saints to the Premier League, and he is already planning his business ahead of the window reopening in the summer.

Latest reports claim the St Mary’s boss has identified a move for Republic of Ireland international striker Cox, currently of West Bromwich Albion.

The 25-year-old has made just six starts in the top-flight for the Baggies this season, and he could likely be available for a fee in the region of £3million.
