Christian Eriksen looks certain to remain with Ajax for another season.

The Denmark international is rated as one of the best talents in world football, and he has long been linked with a host of top clubs from around Europe.

Manchester United are thought to be willing to pay £17million for Eriksen, but the 20-year-old’s agent claims the midfielder will likely stay in Amsterdam.

"I don't think the timing is right," Martin Schoot told Sporten.dk. "It is important that he continues to develop his game with Ajax.”
