Arsene Wenger insists Arsenal have not wrapped up a deal for Yann M’Vila.

The Gunners were keen to sign the 21-year-old France international midfielder last summer, but they couldn’t agree a fee with his current club Rennes.

Recent reports, though, claim Wenger has now sealed a deal for M’Vila in the region of £17million, but the French coach has played down such suggestions.

"It is not true. There is not any interest at the moment," he said. “We have not made any offer to anybody and we are nowhere near to buying anybody at the moment.”
