Olivier Giroud appears to have set his heart on a move to Bayern Munich.

The France international has enjoyed a fine season for Ligue 1 title contenders Montpellier, who face a fight to retain his services beyond the summer.

But although Arsenal and Liverpool would love to take Giroud when the window reopens, the 25-year-old appears to be set on a move to Bayern.

“Bayern Munich are more in the focus than any other club due to the positive experience of French players there," he told Sport Bild magazine.

"I have not yet spoken to them directly, but my agent has. Every player says how friendly they have been welcomed there and how happy they were there."
