Roberto Martinez has shrugged off speculation linking him with Liverpool.

The Reds may have won the Carling Cup and reached the final of the FA Cup this term, but their Premier League campaign was their worst for some time.

This has led to suggestions that manager Kenny Dalglish would be asked to step down as manager and instead have a role on the club’s board.

Martinez has been mooted as a potential successor to the Scot, but when asked about such a link, the Wigan Athletic boss replied: “There is another manager in that club, no?”
