Chelsea Football Club have been told that Lazar Markovic is not for sale.

The Blues are long-term admirers of the 18-year-old attacking midfielder, who has already been capped at full international level by Serbia.

However, Markovic remains under contract at Partizan Belgrade until 2016, and a spokesman for the club has revealed that the player will stay for at least another year.

“Stories that Lazar Markovic will be sold are incorrect,” Nenad Danilovic told Tanjug. “Partizan have refused all offers for him and he will stay for at least another year.”
