Adam Maher is on the radar of Arsenal Football Club.

Arsene Wenger hopes to conclude his summer shopping earlier than usual this season, particularly after the difficulties he experienced last year.

The Gunners lost both Cesc Fabregas and Samir Nasri towards the end of the window, and this gave their manager little time to find able replacements.

Wenger has already sealed a deal for German international Lukas Podolski, who will arrive from Cologne in a £10million deal as soon as the window reopens.

And now the Arsenal boss is believed to be chasing Dutch teenager Maher, the AZ Alkmaar midfielder, with an offer of £6million being mooted.
