Stoke City Football Club are plotting a £6million bid for Yakubu.

The Nigerian international only joined Blackburn Rovers in the summer, and despite a prolific season, he was unable to keep the club in the Premier League.

Yakubu is now widely expected to leave the Ewood Park club rather than play in the Championship, and he could be available for £5million.

Fans FC understands this is of interest to Stoke manager Tony Pulis, who is eager to boost his attacking options after a return of just 36 goals in 38 matches.
