Tim Howard insists Steven Pienaar has to stay at Everton Football Club.

The South African international left the Toffees for Tottenham Hotspur in January 2011, but he endured a miserable time in London before returning to Merseyside on loan.

Pienaar has had a big impact at Goodison Park over the past few months, and goalkeeper Howard insists the midfielder simply has to stay at the club.

"We've got to get Steven back. This is his home,” he told the Liverpool Echo. "He's not going back down to London. He has to stay at Everton. This is his home. He knows it, we know it.”
