Alvaro Pereira has opened the door for Chelsea to renew their interest in him.

Last summer the Blues looked certain to sign the Uruguayan international right fullback, only for Porto to block the move at the last minute.

It remains to be seen if the UEFA Champions League finalists will renew their interest this year, but Pereira has hinted that he would be open to a move to Stamford Bridge.

“Last year I had the chance to go to Chelsea, but the leaders at Porto decided they would make me stay,” he said. “But I haven’t always played this season.”
