Fernando Torres wants assurances over his role at Chelsea Football Club.
The Spanish international striker joined the Blues from Liverpool in January 2011, for a British record transfer fee of £50million.
Torres has failed to find his best form at Stamford Bridge though, and his celebrations following their UEFA Champions League win was muted after only coming on as a sub.
The 28-year-old has now revealed he plans to speak to the club’s board, to establish if he has a future or if he should instead look elsewhere.
"I need the club to tell me what is going to happen and what sort of role I will have within the team,” he told Sky Sports’ Guillem Balague. "And then judge whether it is worth it."
