Sheffield Wednesday Football Club look set to land Kieran Lee.

The 23-year-old fullback has enjoyed an impressive season in League One at Oldham Athletic, and was sure to attract interest as his contract draws to a close.

And it now appears that Lee, formerly of Manchester United, is set to join Wednesday, who were promoted to the Championship under Dave Jones this term.

“We gave Kieran an offer but we are talking about a Championship club who attract 27,000 fans to every home match,” Latics chairman Simon Corney told the Oldham Chronicle.

"When some players move on you are annoyed because you feel they owe you something, but that is not the case with Kieran at all. I honestly could not be happier for him."
