Michael Owen is refusing to rule out a summer move to Southampton.
The 32-year-old is a free agent ahead of next season, having been told by Manchester United that they would not be renewing his contract.
Owen insists he has no intention of dropping down the divisions, as he feels confident he can still cut it in the Premier League for at least another two years.
Southampton earned promotion to the top-flight this term, and club legend Matthew Le Tissier joked on Twitter that the striker should consider St Mary’s.
And in a move which could well excite fans of the club, the former England international replied by insisting: “Open to offers!!!”
