The Slovakian international is thought to be unhappy with life at Liverpool, following what has been a disappointing Premier League campaign at Anfield.

Despite their poor league placing, though, Skrtel gave a good account of himself, with many pundits and fans of the option he has enjoyed his best season in England.

And the Manchester Evening News claim the 28-year-old could now be a target for champions City, who are looking to bolster their defensive options.
