Luis Suarez insists he has not held discussions with Barcelona or Real Madrid.

Despite the controversy caused by his race row with Manchester United’s Patrice Evra this season, the Uruguayan has proved a big hit at Liverpool.

Suarez has been quoted, though, as saying he would like to play in Spain during his career, and this has inevitably led to him being linked with La Liga’s big two.

However, the 25-year-old forward has dismissed suggestions he is looking to leave Anfield following their poor season, and insists he has held no talks with Barca or Real.

“Being honest, I have never talked to anyone from Barca or Real Madrid,” he told the Liverpool Echo. "If the rumours are to be believed I would have already played for 20 teams."
