Internazionale are confident of luring Nigel de Jong to Italy.

The Holland international has proved a shrewd addition to the Manchester City side, since former manager Mark Hughes took him from Hamburg in January 2009.

De Jong helped the Blues win the FA Cup last season and the Premier League this, but he is about to enter the final 12 months of his contract at the Etihad Stadium.

Reports in Italy claim Inter have made the 27-year-old midfielder a top target this summer, and are confident of luring him to the San Siro in a £10million move.
