Queens Park Rangers are lining up an ambitious bid for Nigel de Jong.
The Holland international has been at Manchester City since January 2009, when former Blues boss Mark Hughes paid around £18million to take him from Hamburg.
Now in charge at Loftus Road, the Welsh coach is hoping for a reunion with the 27-year-old midfielder, who has just helped his current side win the Premier League.
De Jong has struggled to nail down a regular start with City in recent times, and with his contract set to expire in 12 months, Hughes would look to take him for £8million.
