Fulham Football Club are interested in signing Danny Simpson.

The former Manchester United youngster is in the final 12 months of his contract at Newcastle United, and discussions have yet to result in a fresh agreement.

Simpson insists he wants to stay at St James Park, but if no new deal is thrashed out, Alan Pardew will be forced to listen to offers for his signature this summer.

And it is believed Martin Jol, the Fulham coach, has made the 25-year-old right fullback a target for Craven Cottage, with a £4million bid being lined up.
