Arsenal Football Club are preparing a package to lure Olivier Giroud.

Arsene Wenger is eager to make some top quality signings this summer, in a late bid to prove to Robin van Persie that the Gunners still have ambitions of silverware.

Lukas Podolski, the German international, has already been snapped up from Cologne, and now it appears as though France ace Giroud is the next target.

According to reports, Wenger is prepared to offer £6.4million and Marouane Chamakh for the 25-year-old, who has just played a key role in Montpellier’s title success.
