Slash – I watch way too much Discovery Channel. I saw a show about primates. Females may have sariel sex partners, and evolution caused the males to develop the penis shape that they did. Yeah it it good for delivery, but apparantly (according to the fine folk at Discovery) also works at backing out any other recent competitors and giving your boys a better chance. Kind of a stupid question in retrospect, but if you can’t tell I’m a little nervous, and the idea of not being able to adequately love up the wife during this whole process is the icing on the cake. OK. I'm no doctor or expert of any kind in the field of fertility, but penis shape doesn't have anything to do with fertilizing an egg. If it did, there wouldn't be over 6 billion people on earth right now. The things that affect being able to knock up your wife have to do with sperm (motility and numbers, mostly, from what I gather) and the female reproductive system (ie, the fallopian tubes, ovaries, uterus in the event an egg is fertilized). Once the sperm goes in, your job is over. You can't significantly reduce your chances of impregnating your wife by doing anything in particular with your penis once ejaculation has occurred. Once your sperm get past the cervix, nothing your penis does afterwards is going to matter (ie, your penis isn't getting past the cervix, that opening is too small; the cervix, that is). As long as your sperm are healthy, and as long as there's nothing wrong with your wife's equipment, that's all that's required for fertilization. Not that it will happen instantly, of course. Your wife isn't ovulating every single day, and even if she is, sometimes, for whatever reason, the egg can't be fertilized, or is, but doesn't result in an embryo, etc. It's a numbers thing. Your millions of sperm vs. her egg (usually just one a month).
