Mathieu Valbuena will not be joining Arsenal Football Club this summer.

As Arsene Wenger looks for more creativity amongst his midfield options, the Marseille star is thought to be a target for the Gunners boss.

However, after a disappointing season at the Stade Velodrome, Valbuena believes he owes it to his current club to stay loyal and help them improve.

“I will remain faithful,” the 27-year-old playmaker told L’Equipe. “I do not want to leave the club like that, finishing tenth in the league table.”
