Southampton eye £3million England man
Southampton Football Club are lining up a bid for Jack Butland.
The 19-year-old is in line for an exciting summer, having being called up to England’s Euro 2012 squad following an injury to Norwich City’s John Ruddy.
Whilst Butland is not expected to feature in Poland and Ukraine, the experience will no doubt be vital as he plans to become a regular number one at club level next term.
The teenager is currently under contract at Birmingham City, who are prepared to sell Ben Foster this summer to make way for him in their starting XI.
However, Nigel Adkins wants Butland at Southampton, and the manager of the newly-promoted Premier League side is set to table an offer of £3million for his signature.
