Anthony Grant has opted for a move to Stevenage Football Club.

When Southend United failed to clinch promotion last season, the 25-year-old decided to leave the Roots Hall club following the expiry of his contract.

A number of clubs were said to be interested in the former Chelsea youngster, and he has finally opted to join League One side Stevenage.

Grant has signed a two-year contract at the Broadhall Way club, who will be aiming for promotion to the Championship next season.
