David Bentley is hoping to secure a summer switch to Queens Park Rangers.

The midfielder was once rated as one of the best talents in the Premier League, when he played under Mark Hughes at Blackburn Rovers.

However, a £15million move to Tottenham Hotspur did the 27-year-old few favours, as a dramatic dip in form and injury problems have stifled his progress.

Bentley hopes to leave White Hart Lane for a fresh start this summer, and reports in the capital claim he has set his heart on a reunion with Hughes at Loftus Road.
