Burnley Football Club have made their first signing of the summer.

The Clarets have swooped to take Luke O’Neill from Mansfield Town, after the 20-year-old fullback agreed a two-year contract at the Championship club.

"I am delighted to welcome Luke to Turf Moor,” manager Eddie Howe told the club's official website. "You always want players snapping at the heels of those wearing the shirts.

"He is in the attacking mould and likes to get forward. He has a lot of assists to his name and can play in a variety of positions across the back. He has huge potential."
