Liverpool Football Club are in talks with Gylfi Sigurdsson.

Whilst Brendan Rodgers insists his former club, Swansea City, have first option on the 22-year-old, he also admits he would love the midfielder at Anfield.

The Swans had already agreed a £6.8million deal with Hoffenheim for a player they had on loan last season, but it is understood the 22-year-old is keen on a move to Merseyside.

And according to Sky Sports, Sigurdsson has opened talks with the Reds over a summer move, although he is also attracting interest from rival Premier League clubs.
