West Ham United have increased their attempts to sign Grant Holt.

The 31-year-old enjoyed an impressive campaign last term for Norwich City, scoring a total of 17 goals for the Premier League new-boys.

Having themselves secured promotion to the top-flight last season, the Hammers are now looking to bolster their attacking options during the summer.

It is believed Sam Allardyce, who has already failed with one bid, will make an offer of £3.5million for Holt with £2million to be added dependent on appearances.
