Aberdeen insist they have no interest in Byron Moore.

The 23-year-old is out of contract at Crewe Alexandra this summer, although he has been offered a new two-year deal following their promotion to League One.

Moore is said to be weighing up his options, and it has been suggested that Aberdeen have been in touch in a bid to entice him to Scotland.

However, Dons manager Craig Brown has played down such speculation, insisting that his target is Inverness Caledonian Thistle winger Jonny Hayes.

"Byron Moore is a new name to me,” he told The Sentinel. "We have done our best to get Hayes, and it is our understanding he will join us after his summer break."
