Everton are lining up an offer for Steven Whittaker.

The Scotland international considers himself a free agent this summer, having rejected the transfer of his Rangers contract to their newco club.

Whittaker is believed to fancy a move to England ahead of next season, and the Daily Mail claims he could get the opportunity at Goodison Park.

David Moyes doesn’t have much cash to spend during the window, so he would feel the 28-year-old fullback a useful addition to his Toffees squad.
