Sunderland are set to enter the race for Victor Moses.

The Nigerian international, 21, is rated as one of the best young talents in the Premier League, and Wigan Athletic face a fight to retain his services.

Despite the forward having just 12 months left on his DW Stadium contract, the Latics have already rejected a bid, believed to be of £4million, from Chelsea.

The Blues are expected to return with an improved offer of £6million for Moses, but Martin O’Neill, the Sunderland boss, is prepared to match this fee.
