Napoli are keen to take Raul Meireles from Chelsea.

The Italian side have lost star midfielder Ezequiel Lavezzi this summer, with the Argentine last week completing a £26million move to Paris St Germain.

A replacement is now sought before the start of the new season, and widespread reports suggest Portugal international Meireles fits the bill.

The 29-year-old has spent the past two years in England at Liverpool and Chelsea, and the Azzurri would look to take him for around £8million.
