Tottenham Hotspur are set to enter the race for Luuk de Jong.

The Holland international is regarded as one of the brightest young strikers in Europe, and he has been heavily linked with a move this summer.

Newcastle United have already had one bid of around £8million rejected for the 21-year-old, who is rated closer to the £15million mark by Twente.

It is believed Andre Villas-Boas is also an admirer of de Jong, and the new Spurs coach will look to lure him to White Hart Lane in a £12million deal.
