Aston Villa want to take Yacine Brahimi on loan next season.

New Villa Park boss Paul Lambert knows he must boost his squad ahead of the coming campaign, as he looks to avoid a repeat of their struggles of last term.

The Midlands giants flirted with the relegation zone for much of the season, yet the target is now a place in the top-ten of the Premier League standings.

Lambert has reportedly set his sights on 22-year-old midfielder Brahimi, who started just six times for Rennes last term and could be available on a loan deal.
