Nigel Clough wishes Jason Shackell all the best at Burnley.

The 28-year-old defender was an ever-present for the Pride Park club last season, but he has now joined Championship rivals Burnley for an undisclosed fee.

Rams boss Clough, though, has nothing but good things to say about Shackell, who he hopes goes on to enjoy a successful time at Turf Moor.

“He played in every minute of every game last season, so it came to no great shock when other clubs registered their interest in him,” he said.

"I am sure that I speak for everybody at the Club when I wish Jason the very best for his future career at Burnley - just as long as they finish below us in the table."
