Andre Villas-Boas wants Jack Butland at Tottenham Hotspur.

The former Chelsea coach was unveiled as the new manager at White Hart Lane earlier this week, following Harry Redknapp’s dismissal last month.

Villas-Boas will have a healthy budget to spend on his squad during the summer, and finding an eventual successor to Brad Friedel, 41, is amongst his priorities.

It is believed Birmingham City’s 19-year-old goalkeeper Butland is the man in the frame for Spurs, who would have to pay around £6million for his signature.
