Juventus are in pole position to sign Robin van Persie.

The 28-year-old enjoyed a hugely prolific season last term, but with just 12 months of his Arsenal contract remaining, he has decided against signing a new deal.

It is now likely that the Gunners will reluctantly sell their star striker this summer, but they are determined to let him join a rival Premier League club.

Juve have already failed with a reported bid of £8million, but reports in Italy claim they remain favourites to sign van Persie for around £15million.
