Fleetwood Town are closing on a deal for David Ball.
The Lancashire side will be plying their trade in the Football League next season, having clinched promotion from the Blue Square Premier last term.
Manager Micky Mellon is now looking to bolster his squad for the demands of League Two, and he has set his sights on Ball, a former Manchester City youngster.
It is believed Fleetwood are closing on a deal for the Peterborough United striker, who has fallen down the pecking order at London Road and had a spell at Rochdale last season.
