Mark Hughes is said to be closing on Celtic star Ki Sung-Yeung.

The South Korean international has been the subject of much speculation since the end of last season, a campaign in which he helped the Bhoys to the title.

Ki has been linked with a move to the Premier League ahead of next term, with Liverpool and Newcastle United amongst those believed to be keen.

However, Queens Park Rangers are thought to be in the driving seat for the 23-year-old midfielder, with Hughes closing on a £7million transfer.
