Gary Smith expects Lee Hills to make a big impact at Stevenage.

The League One side have signed the 22-year-old left, after he was released by Championship side Crystal Palace earlier this summer.

Hills, who has bounced back from a serious knee injury, has signed a three-year deal with Borough, and Smith expects him to be a big hit.

"We took the chance to bring him in and get a close look and he has impressed us with his pace, quality and energy,” he told the official club site.

"He has a good character and has conducted himself in an extremely professional manner. I think he will be a very good addition to the squad."
