Southampton hope to sign Scott Dann for just £3.5million.

When Birmingham City were relegated from the Premier League at the end of the 2010-11 season, Dann left St Andrews for Blackburn Rovers in a £6million move.

However, the defender again suffered the drop last season, and he now wants to leave Ewood Park and secure an instant return to the top-flight.

Nigel Adkins is prepared to offer the 25-year-old just that at St Marys, proving Rovers are willing to accept an offer of £3.5million for his signature.
