Sunderland are interested in adding Jordan Rhodes to their squad.
The 22-year-old has earned a reputation as a goal machine due to his exploits for Huddersfield Town, who are desperate to keep him next season.
Having secured promotion to the Championship last term, the Terriers feel Rhodes can help them eventually secure a place in the Premier League in the near future.
However, Martin O’Neill is keen to add the striker to his squad at the Stadium of Light, and he hopes an offer in the region of £6million will be enough to land him.
