Newcastle United are believed to have enquired about Jeremy Toulalan.

Alan Pardew has had great success with the French players at St James Park, with Hatem Ben Arfa and Yohan Cabaye firm favourites amongst supporters.

And the United manager is now looking to add to his Les Bleus contingent by making a move for midfielder Toulalan, 28, currently of financially troubled Malaga.

The Spanish side have already reluctantly agreed to sell Santi Cazorla to Arsenal, and it is believed Pardew has been in touch in regards to the former Lyon star.
