Liverpool have slapped a £22million price tag on Daniel Agger’s head.

The Denmark international has established himself as a key member of the Reds back four, and Manchester City have shown an interest in his signature.

Roberto Mancini feels the 27-year-old could forge a superb partnership with Vincent Kompany in his back four, and it is thought two bids have already been snubbed.

However, Brendan Rodgers is prepared to let Agger leave before the 31 August deadline, but only if the Blues return with an offer of £22million.
