Martin Jol wants Carlton Cole at Fulham this season.

The 27-year-old helped West Ham United to promotion from the Championship last season, hitting 13 goals in 40 games for Sam Allardyce’s club.

It is no secret, though, that the Hammers are on the lookout for another striker ahead of the new campaign, despite already signing Modibo Maiga from Sochaux.

This has placed question marks over the future of Cole, who is in the final year of his contract and said to be wanted by Jol’s Fulham for a fee of around £5million.
