Claudio Ranieri could yet be back in the Premier League before too long.

The former Chelsea manager is already looking forward to a return to England in the New Year, when he takes his Juventus side to Stamford Bridge in the UEFA Champions League.

And the Italian has revealed he would like a permanent return to these shores, and in doing so has put himself in the frame for the Newcastle United job which Joe Kinnear currently has until the summer.

“I miss England and the Premier League,” said Ranieri. “I’d like to come back to English football one day. But for now I’m happy to have this game. I’m looking forward to coming back to Chelsea.”
