Arsenal could be willing to spend as much as £9million on Ki Sung-Yeung.

It has been a fairly successful summer so far for Arsene Wenger, who has paid £41million to sign Santi Cazorla, Olivier Giroud and Lukas Podolski.

This has helped ease the concern over captain Robin van Persie, who has revealed he will not be signing a new contract at the Emirates Stadium.

Wenger’s spending hasn’t finished yet, either, with reports suggesting a £9million for South Korea midfielder Ki, of Celtic, being lined up ahead of the new season.
