Michael Dawson has emerged as a shock target for Liverpool.

Brendan Rodgers is prepared to let Daniel Agger leave Anfield this summer, with Manchester City already failing with two offers.

It is believed the Reds would sell the Denmark international for £25million, and they have lined up a shock move for Dawson as his replacement.

The England international has just been named Tottenham Hotspur captain though, and it is unlikely Andre Villas-Boas would consider letting him leave.
