Adam Johnson has been added to Tottenham Hotspur’s wanted list.

Andre Villas-Boas still hopes to add at least two new names to his squad ahead of the 31 August deadline, particularly after the opening day defeat at Newcastle United.

Whilst a striker remains the top priority for the Spurs coach, he is also interested in Johnson and is set to approach Manchester City this week.

The winger is struggling for regular first team football under Roberto Mancini, and AVB hopes to lure him to White Hart Lane for a fee of £8million.
